Bull Power

Senior Herd Sire

Dark Star Chex (DOB: 9/7/2001)
Sire: VJ Tommie (Unlimited)     Dam: Dark Star BR3

This straight Butler bull has moved our breeding program to a new level in both our straight Butler and Blended program.  His dam sold for $63,000 and his progeny has brought up to $23,000 at public auction to date.

Senior Herd Sire Emeritus

Not Gunna (Deceased)
Sire: Gunner     Dam: Not Dot
We acquired this bull in 1998 with his first calf crop in 1999 and last calf crop in 2003.  He was instrumental in putting our breeding program on the map.  We lost him in 2004 but are using two of his sons currently (see below).

Junior Herd Sire

Brazos Chex (DOB: 11/15/2003)
Sire: Farlap Chex     Dam: Brush Country Queen
We are crossing this straight Butler bull back on Dark Star Chex heifers. We are very pleased with the results.  His dam is over 72 inches tip to tip and sold for over $50,000 at public auction.  He is producing thus far in line with his breeding, even though (ugh) he tipped his horn.

BH Gunna's Tall Boy (DOB: 4/15/2000)
Sire: Not Gunna     Dam: Day's Chiquita
We have some outstanding daughters in our blended breeding program out of  this Not Gunna son.  His dam is near 67 inches tip to tip and he measures over 63 inches tip to tip.

BH Cimarron (DOB: 9/3/2002)
Sire: Not Gunna     Dam: KF 117
We have our first calf crop out of this Not Gunna son and have high expectations for his future.  His dam is the longest horned cow on the place with over 73 inches tip to tip.

BH Wildfire Butler (DOB: 12/24/2004)
Sire: Coach     Dam: Ace's Dayton Flame
This young straight Butler bull is out of one of  Bob Loomis's best producing straight Butler cows that we now own.  We are anxiously awaiting our first calf crop.  He has a chance to be close to 70 inches tip to tip like his daddy.
